The round tiffin –the original reusable lunchbox –
was borne from a need to reuse and conserve, a necessary way of life
in places such as Thailand where the design and manufacturing of
stainless steel food containers has been especially refined over
decades of tradition. Luncharound represents our commitment to the
stewardship of this tradition and an opportunity to proudly pass along
products from our native countries, and suppliers, that have a long
history of trust. Indeed, good ideas do come and go around again.
Our inspiration is this very city, with its rich
spirit of civic innovation including the first citywide ban on
Styrofoam, the first to convert city vehicles to biodiesel, and the
first ballot measure to fight global warming. From here, Luncharound
is part of an ever growing band of companies committed to business
practices that keep the earth in mind.
Realizing that our choices here today can enable a
brighter tomorrow for others elsewhere, we have committed “1% of
sales for the planet” in order to microfinance entrepreneurs in
developing countries. One business helping another, that's
"financial recycling" in a most positive way.
